THE CHARACTER BEHIND THE PROJECT

A recognizable face for a developing technology.

Karlisyn's visual identity accompanies ongoing research into language, memory, speech, and computer vision. The images on this page are character artwork that illustrates the project's intended presentation.

They are not evidence that Karlisyn can independently generate photographs, recognize scenes, or interact with the physical world. Those capabilities remain research goals.

01 / OVERVIEW

Developing an independent AI system.

Karlisyn is an ongoing project to build artificial intelligence technology using software developed by Kurtz Global Entertainment. The work includes a language model, tools for managing tasks, and separate research projects for speech and visual understanding.

Instead of relying on an existing pretrained model, the project includes original software for model training and text generation. It is a technical research effort, not a finished AI assistant.

02 / LANGUAGE

Teaching a model to work with text.

The project includes custom software to process text, train a language model, save its progress, and generate responses. Experimental training runs have been completed using locally developed components.

Current status: The model still needs significant improvement. Recent evaluations found weaknesses in several basic language and reasoning tasks, so its output should not yet be considered consistently reliable.

03 / MEMORY AND TASKS

Continuing work between sessions.

A separate task-management component can save assignments, organize them by priority, and resume pending work after a restart. The system can also store information that a user has explicitly asked it to remember.

These functions operate within defined tasks. Karlisyn does not yet independently plan or complete complex open-ended projects without supervision.

04 / ONLINE INFORMATION

Retrieving information from public websites.

Original browsing software can open public webpages, follow a limited set of links, and organize information for later searches. It can also identify some questions that may benefit from current online information.

The system has limited web coverage and does not perform account actions, purchases, or changes to external websites.

05 / VOICE

Researching spoken responses.

The speech project can produce experimental audio from text and includes early work on training a custom voice. Natural-sounding, production-quality speech has not yet been achieved.

Listening and automatic speech recognition remain future development goals.

06 / VISION

Exploring how computers interpret images.

The visual research includes basic image analysis, experimental depth calculations, and preliminary comparisons of manually prepared face images. The goal is to eventually recognize objects and people reliably with appropriate permission.

Live identification of individuals and dependable real-world scene understanding have not yet been demonstrated.

07 / NEXT STEPS

Measuring progress before calling it complete.

Current priorities include improving language quality, evaluating results with independent tests, connecting the separate systems, and developing more reliable speech and vision capabilities.

Project status: Research and prototyping as of October 2026. Described capabilities reflect source code and development documentation, not a publicly released or independently verified product.
